Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for BDNFit™?
You may be eligible to use HSA/FSA funds for BDNFit™ if Truemed’s independent provider determines that the subscription is medically appropriate for your health needs. Eligibility is not guaranteed.
How do I find out if I qualify?
Choose the HSA/FSA eligibility option from your BDNFit™ account. You will be sent to Truemed’s hosted qualification process to answer a short health questionnaire outside BDNFit™.
What happens if I qualify?
Truemed may arrange for an independent licensed provider to issue a Letter of Medical Necessity. Follow Truemed’s instructions for completing your HSA/FSA purchase or submitting documentation to your plan administrator.
Do I need a referral to join BDNFit™?
No. BDNFit™ is available directly to adults age 18 and older. Truemed’s independent provider separately determines whether you qualify to use HSA/FSA funds.
Does BDNFit™ receive my health questionnaire or letter?
No. The qualification questionnaire is hosted by Truemed. BDNFit™ does not receive your questionnaire answers or Letter of Medical Necessity through this link.
How long is a Letter of Medical Necessity valid?
For an annual Balanced+ membership, plan to complete Truemed’s qualification process again before the next annual renewal. A new Letter of Medical Necessity is required for the next one-year period. Follow Truemed’s instructions and confirm any additional requirements with your HSA/FSA plan administrator.
Does a letter guarantee HSA/FSA reimbursement?
No. Every HSA/FSA plan administrator has its own rules. A Letter of Medical Necessity may support your claim, but final approval is up to your plan administrator. You remain responsible for subscription charges regardless of reimbursement.
Does BDNFit™ replace treatment with my provider?
No. BDNFit™ is a wellness and education tool. It does not replace visits, a treatment plan, or medical advice from your provider.
